Falklands
Falklands is our primary water and is located on the Rayleigh/ Hullbridge border . Its name is derived from when it was opened in 1982 at the time of the Falklands conflict and is dedicated to the memory of all those who took part in the conflict. The lake is club freehold property and has excellent facilities for members including a clubhouse with kitchen facilities, ladies and gents flush toilets and a unisex disabled toilet.
The water holds a variety of fish including F1 Carp, Crucian Carp, Roach, Rudd, Tench, Perch, Bream, Barbel and Ide. There are also a some Orfe and a few big eels. The water is comfortably fished with rod and reel or pole tactics and there are dedicated disabled swims.
As well as the main lake, Falklands also has a junior lake for young anglers to experience and enjoy fishing.
Lowlands
Lowlands is located in Hockley and, at approximately one acre in size, holds a good stock of Carp, both Mirror and Commons to 22lb with a few large Grass Carp for good measure.
There is also a good stock of Roach and Perch some of which run to the 4lb mark. There are also a few Catfish into mid doubles.
Secure parking within the farmyard which is accessed with an electronic gate code, as well as an on-site port-a-loo. There is no night fishing at Lowlands.
Biggins Farm
Biggins Farm is the most recent acquisition of the club and is located near Stambridge. This 1.5 acre water with depths up to 10 feet was once used as an agricultural reservoir by the farm on which it is situated and had no features. The club have carried out extensive work on the lake and in addition to building platforms we have planted young trees, installed floating islands, sited a container and laid a path around the lake.
It has a good stock of Carp in the 4 to 10lb members have caught carp well into upper double figures. . There is also a good head of silverfish and we have stocked additional crucians, bream and roach during March and April this year.
There is no night fishing at Biggins Farm
